I’m delighted to be working on a project with the Community Engagement Team at Aldershot Garrison. We are hosting an informal workshop on Wednesday 17 October from 9.30 a.m.-2.30 p.m. for “military mums and dads” (as well as for “single” spouses and partners, of course) to equip them with the right skills to find a job. It is free of charge to attend.

In the session we will cover:

• searching for jobs and how best to do it
• finding out what skills you have
• putting a good CV together and
• how to feel confident in an interview

All of these are areas that people can struggle with and which keeps them out of the workforce. By the end of the session we hope to have removed some of these barriers!
